Author Spotlight: Eva Marie Saint — The Last Star of Hollywood's Golden Age
A deep dive on Eva Marie Saint — the Oscar-winning actress who won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in her very first film, On the Waterfront, opposite Marlon Brando, then became Cary Grant's cool and dangerous Eve Kendall in Hitchcock's North by Northwest; the Emmy winner for People Like Us who stepped back from stardom to raise a family and kept working into her nineties; her defining reflections on going with the flow, on being proud simply to be walking and breathing and loving at 90, on choosing children over being a superstar, and on refusing to promise Hitchcock she would stop making the dramas she loved; and the legacy of a performer who lived to 102, died the oldest living Academy Award winner, and remained one of the last living links to the Golden Age of Hollywood.
